15 June 2025, ALICE & Friends Circle™ in collaboration with Holly
Trinity Romanian Orthodox Church from New Westminster, Canada, honored the reputable
Romanian poet Mihai Eminescu, because the entire year of 2025 has been officially
declared “Mihai Eminescu Year”, commemorating the 175th anniversary
of the birth of Romania’s national poet. This landmark decision, at the suggestion of and fully endorsed
by the Romanian Academy, shines a spotlight on a literary figure whose
impact extends far beyond Romanian borders, highlighting the enduring relevance
of his work in contemporary culture and education.
This initiative underscores the timeless and unifying nature of Eminescu’s writings, demonstrating its capacity to foster understanding and inspiration across national and linguistic boundaries. 2025, #2 on 15 June 2025 (actually this collaboration) & #3 to be on 19 September 2025. Once again,

joining efforts in making this day special!

Acesta este momentul perfect să redescoperim poeziile, aforismele și
publicistica lui Eminescu – nu doar de sărbători, ci în fiecare zi. Poate că
mulți dintre voi se întreabă de ce oare este util să facem acest lucru, ce relavanţă mai are
în zilele noastre? Păi are, pentru că atunci când ne amintim de Eminescu nu e
doar un gest de simbol național, ci și un omagiu care onorează un spirit încă viu...încă printre noi – prin vers, adevăr și frumusețe. Haideți să deschidem
cărțile sale, să le citim, să ne inspirăm și să păstrăm vie cultura noastră!
În anul 2025, am programat la Cerc 3 evenimente, menite să onoreze
amintirea poetului național al României.

Depunerea coroanei de flori a fost un gest de respect și recunoștință față de talentul nepieritor al lui Mihai Eminescu, considerat simbolul culturii și identității. Mulțumiri Părintelui Lapuște pentru sprijin si implicare!

Dragă Alice,
Felicitări pentru inițiativa ta de comemorare a poetului nostru național Mihai Eminescu!
Mă bucur că am putut sa particip și să ascult câteva poezii rostite de domnul Trandafir.
Pentru câteva momente am simțit o legătură de unitate între toți cei adunați murmurând frumoasele versuri, de neuitat, ale poeziei "La Steaua".

Draga Alice,
Aici sunt cateva impresii asupra evenimentului din data de 15 Iunie a.c. – comemorarea lui M. Eminescu...
Intai a avut loc in biserica Sfanta Treime, Parastasul de pomenire a lui M. Emimescu, la 136 de ani de la moarte.
Apoi, in fata bisericii, s-a tinut un moment poetic, impreuna cu Pr. Paroh Nicolae Lapuste si un grup de enoriasi, prilej cu care Dna. Alice Vasile, impreuna cu subsemnatul, am legat pe crucea de lemn a troitei, doua plachete comemorative, frumoase, aduse de Dna. Alice, ca semn al pretuirii poetului din partea comunitatii noastre romanesti.
S-a tinut o scurta alocutiune despre cine a fost si ce opera ne-a lasat marele poet. S-au recitat poezii de ale poetului si originale, s-a cantat "Mai am un singur dor", spre satisfactia intregii asistente.
Totodata s-a pomenit de catre Dl. Trandafir si marele nostru compozitor Ciprian Porumbescu, de la a carui moarte s-au implinit 142 de ani, in 6 Iunie, 2025, cantandu-se frumosul cantec "Trei culori" compus de Porumbescu.
S-au facut poze in fata troitei. A fost un moment inaltator, care a impresionat foarte placut pe toti cei de fata.
