May 2026: “Happy MOTHER’s Day!”

Today (May 10, 2026), as we celebrate Mother’s Day in Canada, we also pause to honor the silent constancy and the profound courage that define motherhood. In every tender gesture, in every quiet sacrifice, a mother embodies resilience, wisdom and the sustaining force of unconditional love. She mirrors the world’s complexities with grace, nurturing both the hearts and the intellects, while guiding generations with unwavering devotion.
Today, let us recognize not only the warmth she bestows, but the unspoken strength she commands, acknowledging that the measure of a mother’s influence stretches far beyond the tangible; it is a legacy of compassion and insight that shape the very contours of our humanity.
“To the world, you are a mother, but to your family, you are the world.”
Happy Mother's Day
to all the incredible mothers out there!

8 Years Anniversary of ALICE & FRIENDS CIRCLE™

For your convenience, here is the official Press ReleaseEnjoy the reading!

Celebrating 8 Years of Friendship, Growth and Inspiration, as well as Longevity, Spring and Mother's Day
Today (Thursday – May 7, 2026) is a remarkable milestone for Alice & Friends Circle™ - it is our 8th anniversary!
Eight years ago, a spark of friendship and shared passion brought us together, and over time, that spark has ignited a vibrant, supportive community that continues to uplift, inspire and empower each member. From our very first gathering to the countless events, projects and heartfelt conversations since, the journey has been extraordinary, and it is all thanks to YOU, dear friends.
Our guest of honor this time, was Hon. Gabriel Rotaru (who is Consul General of Romania in Vancouver and the Head of the Romanian Diplomatic Mission here, as well as Minister Plenipotentiary of Romania in Canada) who delivered a beautiful appreciative speech about our Circle, underlining Consulate’s ongoing support.
While at this page, I would like to emphasize that this anniversary isn’t just a celebration of time; it’s a celebration of connection, creativity and genuine human spirit.
Alice & Friends Circlehas always stood for inclusivity, curiosity, positivity, gratitude and kindness, giving each participant a space to grow, to learn and to share unique perspectives. Whether the Circle was hosting workshops, charity gestures in our community, or simply exchanging stories over coffee, every contribution has woven a richer tapestry of friendship and shared experiences.
As I together with our friends reflect on the past eight years, we honor the laughter, the challenges we overcome and the countless moments where members lifted each other up. We all have seen friendships blossom, skills flourishing and confidence blooming. The power of community is undeniable, and Alice & Friends Circleis a living testament to the magic that happens when individuals come together with open their hearts and minds.
Looking ahead, the journey continues. Let’s embrace new ideas, organize more inspiring gatherings, and nurture the bonds that define us. Every handshake, every smile, and every shared story contribute to a tapestry of joy, support and inspiration. Together, we can make the next chapter just as remarkable as the last.
Thank you dear friends (our friends = our members) for making Alice & Friends Circlea family, a sanctuary and an inspiration!
Here’s to many more years of growth, laughter, creativity and meaningful connections. Let’s continue shining...together!
Happy 8th Anniversary, Alice & Friends Circle!
With ongoing appreciation,
Alice

In a while I will be back with a much more detailed photo collage, but for now I'm just posting these beautiful group photos, which eloquently reflect the great atmosphere we all enjoyed at this particular gathering.

The lasting beauty of LONGEVITY

Beauty of longevity is a subtle art, a narrative written not in the haste of moments but in the deliberate unfolding of time. There is profound grace in the slow accumulation of experience, where each wrinkle, scar, or patch of silver hair tells a story of resilience and transformation. Longevity is more than just the extension of years…it is the deep flourishing within them, a celebration of persistence and presence that thrives in the quiet spaces of life.
Consider, for instance, the way a tree grows. Its branches twist and stretch, not in pursuit of immediacy but with patient intent, responding to sunlight, seasons and subtle shifts in the ecosystem. Its rings record history (bad years, abundant years) but every ring is a testament to survival and adaptation.
So too, in human life, longevity embodies the ability to adapt gracefully, embracing challenges without losing the essence of self.
There is a unique splendor in witnessing the evolution of one’s own character over decades, the ability to reflect with perspective/s, to act with foresight and to appreciate the fleeting beauty of fleeting moments.
Insightful observations remind us that longevity need not correlate solely with vitality; there is elegance in aging with presence, in cultivating wisdom that deepens empathy and nurtures relationships. To inhabit a long life consciously is to experience a kind of poetry, where time is not merely counted but inhaled, exhaled, savored. There exists a delicate dance between life’s inevitable cycles of decline and the enduring strength of spirit, where each day holds an opportunity to discover beauty in simplicity, to witness nuance in ordinary occurrences, or to create meaning in unexpected corners.
Longevity also invites us to consider continuity and legacy. The lessons handed down, the traditions preserved, the subtle encouragements woven into future generations…all of these form a tapestry that speaks to the enduring human impulse to connect beyond the temporal confines of one’s own existence. In this context, growing older is not a loss but a gain; it is unique compilation of moments that converge into a rich, narrative mosaic. Every action, kind word and thoughtful gesture could gain depth when framed within decades of accumulated insight, offering a reservoir of resources that can nourish both oneself and others.
There is beauty in slowing down, in resisting the culture of instant gratification that permeates modern existence. By prolonging attention and savoring the many details of everyday life (such as, a warm cup of tea, the gentle hum of a city street at dawn, the fleeting flutter of leaves in the wind, etc.) longevity becomes a canvas for mindful observation. Each experience, no matter how small, assumes significance, and ordinary acts transform into meditative rituals imbued with meaning.
At its core, the beauty of longevity is a celebration of continuity amid change, of resilience threaded through fragility, of wisdom tempered by curiosity. It is an invitation to honor the passage of time not with anxiety but with reverence, to marvel at the intricate design of a life fully inhabited. In the end, true beauty lies in embracing both the fleeting and the enduring: a smile that has grown rich with decades, a story that folds past into present, a heart that retains wonder despite the inevitability of change. In longevity, the human spirit discovers its quietest, most profound triumphs.
”Longevity is a silent artist, painting grace upon the canvas of our spirit with strokes time alone can perfect.”
